During my recent family getaway to Gili Meno, we found ourselves at the Rust Mimpi Manis Bungalows, a hidden gem nestled right by the harbour. The traditional wooden bungalows, adorned with a blend of modern comforts, were spacious enough for our family of four and offered a peaceful escape from the island's vibrant activity. One of the highlights was the attached restaurant, where we savoured a delightful selection of both Indonesian and Western dishes while enjoying stunning views of the harbour. The friendly staff, especially Ahmed, went above and beyond, helping us with a seamless snorkeling trip that allowed us to swim with turtles-an unforgettable experience! While we did encounter a slight hiccup with the room service not being as frequent as expected, the atmosphere was calming, with hammocks swaying gently under the palm trees in the garden. The semi-open bathrooms felt like a true island experience, although a few mosquitoes reminded us we were in the tropics! Rust Mimpi Manis Bungalows proved to be the perfect springboard to explore Gili Meno and create beautiful memories with my family. If you're after a slice of island paradise with a touch of local charm, this is a place worth considering!
